He was in a mid to late 80s Chrysler commercial, here's the setting:
A rocking, funky tune plays as a convoy (4-5) of Chrysler/Dodge products(Daytona,Laser,Omni GLH,Shelby Charger,Shadow) race across the dry plains stirring up the dust,
The voiceover goes: "This message is brought to you by those dull, but dependable producers of predictability, the Chrysler Corporation"
The cars then blow past a sleepy one pump gas station where two old fogies (one being Cranshaw)are dozing the day away.when the cars blow by leaving a trail of dust in the air,Cranshaw yells to the other guy "Chrysler??!!",then they look at one another, shaking their heads and both state "Naawww" and they go back to sleep..
This commercial was rarely ever aired, yet is speaking a powerful message.Chrysler cars (then FWD) while still peppy and "exciting",were fuel efficient and thus could blow-by gas station stops that Camaros and Mustangs had to make.
