Well, either way, it's fine whether or not Eric is Gay or not Gay or has Gay-ness detected with Gaydar guns because he's still the same actor, and playing Gay or not Gay or having Gay-ness detected with Gaydar just goes to show his versatile acting range, so his orientation ought not to matter.
Tolerance is important whether an actor is Gay or is not Gay or shows signs of Gayface or has his Gay-ness detected with Gaydar, and that is all because tolerance, understanding and caring are important virtues of social politeness.
