She is not named after a car. Portia is a name that goes back to at least ancient roman times.
Oh I know I know, haha..
lol because there's a scene where one of the character's says how one of the 'stupid' characters (Kline) had asked why she (a character named Portia), was named after a car (i.e. referring to the car Porsche, which can be pronounced that way)! In which they then laugh.
