This episode was 12 years ago. Why does Anna sound so different? All the Friends cast sound the same now as they did then. I'm pretty sure she's not a smoker. It's weird.

Yeah. Anna totally wasn't using her voice. It was the same voice she used for dumb girl roles like Cindy in Scary Movie. I loved it, but I'm glad she changed it around.

She probably wasn't using her natural voice. I always got the sense that she was trying to sound different. No way that Anna talks like Erica does. Just part of the character. I don't know for sure, just my take.
