She had her parents on her podcast, and Mom addressed her as "Ahn-na," so if you must tag anyone with snotty, it shouldn't be the daughter. I got an "Anna" daughter, but she was always "Annie" from day one on. . . worked well for her, but obviously Feris' pronunciation worked for her. . . she seems REAL nice and down home.

I once met someone named "Anne" who pronounced it as "Awn". DON'T ask me why. I thought I was hearing things and then just accepted it.
It's Faris's name to pronounce anyway she likes - or AH-nyway she likes. Who cares? It's not like you're ever going to meet her.

Onna would be the phonetic pronunciation of her name, which is most commonly pronounced phonetically as Anna. Like the Beatles song.
i.e. Anna as she pronounces it rhymes with Donna, whereas it would normally rhyme with banana.

The way her husband says it is "ah-na". Like the Frozen character.
"An-na" is more like "annie".
It's kinda hard to explain over text. I'd have to say it. I'm not sure if different accents are what's making it confusing to begin with, but imagine an American (from California, so not with a southern, eastern, or midwestern accent) saying "ah-na" and "an-na".

It actually sounds very American to say Arna rather than Ahh na. It might have a slight r with RP English, but it isn't intentionally supposed to be an Ar-na sound.
