Trancas Canyon, at the beach, a small restaurant/bar. Sat at the bar several stools away, he and I were the only customers there.
Wearing his cap, casual appearance, he had a quiet countenance about him..
We exchanged a few words in greeting. That was it.
I left soon thereafter. Back on the road. Never saw the man again except on TV.
