Caught Nebraska at VIFF, not only does Forte hold his own, he gives a great performance. I love when comedic actors shine in dramatic roles, as a long time fan of Will I was so pleased to see him excel in this role. Hopefully it opens some doors for him. Also, what a nice guy! He was being photographed on the red carpet and allowed me to come up and say hello and get a photo with him. I was ecstatic and Will was so modest and friendly and seemed enthused I was such a big fan. You rock, Will.

Will Forte is a great guy. Should he ever have to enter witness protection, Plainview, Nebraska would guard him within an inch of their lives. Any actor who hangs with the crew after hours on location definitely sends the message that "we're all in this together", and Will was all that and more.
He and Laura Dern made the job seem less like work, and more like a vacation with a little productivity thrown in. They're holding the movie back 'til fall for Oscar contention, but it's sure to be a winner. I haven't seen any cuts, but word is: best yet.

Quite possibly my favorite film from last year. Will was so sweet in it nice to know that's pretty much how he is in real life too.
(I really liked his work on SNL and
30 Rock
, but didn't really know anything about him until I decided to look him up after seeing this.)

Loved Will's performance in Nebraska. What a heartwarming portrayal of a caring son who clearly grew up in a dysfunctional family.
The cast was fabulous.

I just saw the movie today, and was very impressed with his performance. It was 2000sensitive, subtle, and spot-on. Bruce Dern and June Squibb deserve their Oscar nominations, but Wille held his own.
