I must have seen that movie 100x and never noticed. lol<br />

<p dir="auto">I saw "Titanic" in the theater and my first thought was "oh God, I hope he doesn't die", knowing that all those lifeboats went out half-full and left a lot of men stranded on the sinking ship. Amazingly, Colonel Archibald Gracie survived the sinking and even went on to write a book about it!</p>

<p dir="auto">Yes, I just realized that too tdickson.  Those are arguable the two best films ever made about the great ship's sinking.  I think Cameron asked him to be in it to pay homage in a way.<br />

<p dir="auto">That was actually Fox' second trip on Titanic, he was also in the 1958 movie "A Night to Remember" as Fred Fleet, one of the lookouts in the "crow's nest"</p>

<p dir="auto">It seemed he play the quintessential funny, but likable, Englishman in the sitcoms of the Sixties. But we can't really call him an Englishman as he was botn in Wales. So we'll just call him British!<br />
