Yeah, good character but not a very good movie, I really didn't like the whole romance they spun into the Beauty and Ginger relationship; it cheapened the whole thing because their friendship meant so much more but we won't get into that now.
Back to the topic, I'm guessing that she got him the part in Timeline because she is great in it and I must say he is terrible. His accent in it makes me cringe and laugh at the same time. It's st1c84range because he is usually a pretty good actor. Especially in Dinotopia and Harry Potter.

David Thewlis is an incredible actor. I almost peed in my pants when I heard that David Thewlis and Gary Oldman had both been cast in the third Harry Potter film. Do yourself a favor and watch "Gangster No. 1". Thewlis is remarkable as Freddie Mays. He's also great in "Naked", which you have to be in the mood to watch, as it's a bit slow.

Oh yes, he has charm. I'm one of those who would've have known about him had it not been for Harry Potter, but now that I've seen him as Lupin, he is most definitely one of my favorites. I'll bet he and Anna are cute togetherAnna would've made a grea5b4t Tonks, too, even if playing opposite her guy would've been weird for her.

I agree with the above, he isnt your 'typicaly good-looking' man, like you won't see him in 'hunk of the month' in magazines or anything like that. But he's charismatic and there's something about him, something mysterious, which is always very appealing and sexy.

He's got that "dorky/cute" vibe going on for him. Being in Harry Potter has definitely given him more appeal to the younger views who probably wouldn't have noticed him in other movies or projects.
