Was watching Bewitched today, as I often do because it is terrific, and suddenly I saw Anna Friel in Elizabeth Montgomery's cheeky smile, and I could imagine Friel going: "Oh, Darren."
I mean if they were to ever DARE make a movie based on the show and not foolishly around some lame premise like, oh I dunno, a movie within a movie-set, then maybe they should have Anna as Samantha because there is definitely something about her that reminds me of Samantha. More than Nicole Kidman, who I admit did SEEM like the perfect choice before the botox-orgy on her face.

I know it's been ages since this comment was posted, and probably no one else will respond, but
I have been thinking exactly the same thing! I've been watching "Pushing Daisies" on Netflix, and I am convinced that Anna Friel would make the perfect Samantha in a new "Bewitched" movie. There's something about her smile and the twinkle in her eyes that are very reminiscent of Elizabeth Montgomery. Especial2000ly this certain mischievous sideways glance. Evidence below:
