He would be my choice to write Star Trek 3. Really impressed with Dredd and there's apparently a good working relationship with Karl Urban. Get rid of the hacks and make a film that has stunning action but also some internal logic and engaging characterisation.

If you watch Ex Machina he gave a shout out to Star Trek having one of the characters mention it. Therefore, he's probably a fan. I think he'd be a great choice to write and direct the next Star Trek movie.
