I just saw Beth Grant in 'The Artist' last weekend: one of the best films I've seen for a while, and she had a small but memorable part. Anything she's in is 50% better simply due to her being in it. Or maybe she just chooses her roles / projects well. Or has a great agent. Whatever it is, she's gold!
Beth Grant is the female equivalent of the late J.T. Walsh. Or maybe J.T. Walsh was the male equivalent of Beth Grant. If I had her address, I'd write a letter. Lame, I know, but she's awesome.

I totally agree. The fact that she can take such small roles(for screen time or for lack of focus on her chosen character), and totally make them 'hers' is amazing. The moment I saw her in as the Pageant Sign-in Bitch in the movie Little Miss Sunshine and then in Donnie Darko(fabulous!), and ever since I've been looking for movies she plays in.
You're right, she takes every second of screen time offered to her and gives it her all.
