Well, she isn't her mother, so to think that she'll be "just as great" is extremely unrealistic. She is her own person with her own acting chops. To compare the two is so stupid. I enjoy her and like any actor, will continue to grow. Period

Kate Hudson is pretty. Her mother was beautiful. Kate hudson never had her mothers talent either. Goldy was amazing. Kate is adequate.

Probably because Kate Hudson is beautiful. If you're not as great an actress as your famous mother, you have to have something else to offer. Looks, humorsomething. Mamie doesn't.

I liked her work on the short-lived "Emily Owens, MD" where she carried that entire show on her shoulders.
She was also very good in "Evening."
