I just finished watching " Tipping the Velvet". I was not familiar with Keely Hawes before this , but I could not stop thinking how much she resembles Kiera Knightly. It's almost like they could be sisters or something..

I was thinking this all throughout Tipping The Velvet (which was lovely, I just finished watching it for the first time) as well. I agree that she looks like Keira Knightly but is prettier. I also think she is sexier and more charismatic.

What on earth are you lot talking about? If Keeley Hawes could hear you making comparisons with her and Miss Knightly I think she'd be horrified. Hawes is beautiful, glamorous and sophisticated. Some may argue Knightly is beautiful but glamorous would be questionable and she certainly isn't sophisticated. Hawes also carries off maturity and intelligence which, IMHO, Knightly doesn't.
Also I agree that she is far more like Kristin Scott Thomas. Another beautiful and sophisticated actress. Both are in a league above Knightly.

I agree there is a similarity, I thought it was the jaw line, and maybe there eyes. No effense to Kiera Knightly or any of her fans but I prefer Keeley Hawes, I thing she's awfully good at inhabiting a character and is very versatile.
In that picture you posted chislehurstbat yes I see the similarity but Kiera Knightly does look awfully slim. or is that just me?

I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE EITHER!
I have said this for so long, I said to my mother when talking about who she was, 'Oh, you know the one out of Spooks who looks like a prettier Keira Knightley?' and she knew exactly who I meant.
She looks a hell of a lot like Keira Knightley, except she has about a million times more talent and a body to kill for. I think it's their eyes and mouth that makes them look so alike.

I agree. I think it's their bone structure that is very similar and their eyes. They both could pass for sisters. Keira and Natalie Portman look very similar also. They were both cast in Star Wars when they were younger and I've read that their mothers couldn't tell the difference when both were in makeup.
