I agree that the bible gets interpreted in many ways, just like the quran does.
but a fair few do beleve the old testament to be real and not babalonian creation myth adapted from other creation myths from other cultures.
I do beleve in Jesus but not as the son of god,i think he was a prophet, what i ment on my other post was Mary was a virgin and weather or not she was maried to joseph she had a child, i just dont beleve this imaculet conception story,if she was maried to joseph was their marage sex less,
the new testement was writen by a roman the way he wanted it, and i think he made mary a virgin and added this imaculet conception story and made jesus the son of god, i also think if jesus said he was the son of god he never ment it literaly i think he was saying we are all the children of god that`s how he was the son of god not through imaculet conception.
People have free will, God doesn't control people. God may have signs or something, but he can't just stop you in your tracks.
the bible says jesus was the son of god created by imaculet conception.
i think that was an changed bit because at the time you cant have sex in a bible as its a sin so they cooked up the son of god bit and imaculet conception when in realety he was a prophet.
then they built this whole sone of god story
lol It was not a sin to have sex Mary and Joseph were (technically) a married couple. If you're married, it's not a sin to have sex with your spouse. Why would they have hidden that?
I found this on a website:
"While in Bethlehem and shortly before Jesus' birth, it appears Joseph and Mary were married. I say this based on Matthew's account. At the point of Matthew 1: 18, Joseph had not taken Mary to live with him. However, in verse 24 we read, "and took unto him his wife."
Most scholars believe verse 24 is saying that Mary became Joseph's wife in the legal sense of the word, at that point. "And took unto him his wife" was before Jesus' birth (Matt. 1: 24, 25)."
And, in my opinion, I don't think as a scientist, you would HAVE to be athiest. I think the theory of evolution is, just as it states, a theory. Just the same as some people believe religion is not a fact.
I'm a Christian. I'm not a hardcore Bible Thumper or Hell, fire and brimstone person by ANY means. lol I just feel like sometimes people who believe in God are held to be one specific way. I'm not saying you believe that they are one way, but I like to still share my opinion with people.

Yes, he's an atheist.

Einstein was a deist I believe (Jewish by race).

Agnosticism is not a position on the existence of deities, it is a position on whether or not you can know anything for sure. What you refer to as agnosticism is actually weak atheism.
Weak atheism = not believing there's a god
Strong atheism = Believing there is no god
Subtle difference

People who believe in god are being irrational.

ok this is gona piss ppl of apologies in advance
you cant beleve that god created man and god created the earth adam and eve ect being a scientist.
ok not all religios ppl beleve that and a lot of preists call it a creation myth but theres a lot out there take the bible as the word of god.
while i was in uni i went to a creation talk by some american priest in a church to get a look at the other side of creation and so many beleve the god created the world adam and eve thing and prehistoric monsters didnt happen ect.
we know the bible is cut into 2 parts old and new,
old was made because the babolonian ppl asked why are we here why does this happen where did we come from so the law makers serched the known world and stole bits from other religions and made up stuff and took things from history and created the old bible.
and the new is a heavely edited changed book to the original that was writen after jesus died the roman boss guy took the original and took out lots and changed things to his law and made rome ch5b4ristian. he was a very clever man.
so jesus was real and some stuf in the both books are real in a historical context altho some things are way out in a historical time line.
i dont belive in god myself what god whould let all the beep happening in the world happen famine sicknesses that kill millions of ppl peodofiles rapists murderers i could go on for ever but he does nothing about it so he dont exsist.

I think he is an atheist, but he has put on an agnostic face every now and again, particularly when he talks about "knowing the mind of God."
Personally I've always considered agnosticism to be the best position as regards a deity, since science can only study the universe, and any creator deity would, by definition, exist outside it. Still, whatever floats your boat.
