So now it's been five years since that post. Osama's administration is almost over and we now know what a wreck he has made of this country. Bush screwed the sand people, but who cares about them anyway?

I'm expecting the GOP to claim that Obama is a Manchurian Candidate next.

I'm beginning to get really sick of the "OMG Obama is a socialist. We're all going to die! Commie!" This is what happens when a far, far, far, right wing Rebublican lacking in any real leadership qualities, common sense, or overall intelligence runs your country for 8 years. There's a guy I work with, who's a 'devout' republican, who likes to btch about anything new that hits the news, and how it's, "All Obama's fault. See what a mess he's made? I mean, look at the debt. He's ruining everything and we're going to become Commies" IT doesn't matter that I try and explain that anybody with basic mathmatical skills could have figured out that long before Bush ever left office our national debt was quite literally, unpayable (at least in my lifetime, and I was about 16 at the time that was officially stated). There was, and still is, no possible way to reimburse the amount of money he spent/borrowed. To that I get the response, "Yeah, but Obama made it worse." Whether he did or didn't is irrelevant. That's like saying that your friend is dead, and the coroner made it worse by cutting him open. I've come to realise that a good deal of people who flip out about 'socialism' not only do not actually know what it is, but are mostly just freaking out because the media told them to. In fact, they also don't seem to realise that America is not even a Democracy, it's a Republic. Most of the people who do know this, you find out later, don't know why let alone the difference. Nobody wants to take an active interest in the workings of our government, but boy do they want to btch when the tv tells them to.

I'm expecting to read that Hawkings is actually from Kenya.
