I was 11..my Mom was talking about it and it seemed to be pretty big news that a handsome young actor with a promising career, played around with a gun on the set and it went off. I am surprised so many people know who he is. Seemed like a nice guy too. Very sad!

I was 20, a junior in college, and everyone was talking about it in my classes. Seemed everyone my age liked him and his show 'Voyagers'. (I never did get into 'Cover Up').

After all these years his name just popped into my head as I was driving down the highway. I remember this too. I was in high school. It was a big story, as he had qui238te a buzz going just then. I think he would've been a major star if he had lived.

I was 13, and used to watch him on "Voyagers". I also remember him from the Male Model TV movie with Joan Collins. His looks were unbelievable. He was so handsome, he didn't even look human. I still can't wrap my head around what happened to him. I was stunned.

We were all around the same age. I remember it vividly, too. It still makes me sick to my stomach. The way it was reported back then it sounded like he was working on Voyagers! when it happened, so I just learned it happened while he was working on the "Cover Up" tv series.

I, too, was 11 when he died and I remember vividly seeing the news casts in October 1984. All the kids on my block were Voyagers! fans back then.

To live forever is to exist in the hearts of many.
I was around the same age but I was so into pop stars at the time like Wham!, Prince and Duran Duran that his death was just background noise to me.
I only rediscovered him when I was online reading about the death of Stephen J. Cannell(

My memories of JEH were so hazy, for a while I actually thought he was a dream, and in a way, he still is.
