Such a shame the way money controls/dictates every aspect of the cinematic arts. Good stories rarely get told (and are always adulterated/messed with), as the money people16d0 always want films to appeal the the largest number of people possible. Generally speaking (and increasingly, it seems), that rules out 'smart and interesting' about 90% of the time.
B5 had it's story arc ruined in much the same 'will-they-fund-us-or-will-they-not' manner as Farscape.

Yeah, I missed a lot while working a job that was heavy on the hours. After finally seeing the first season (about 2 months ago), I thought 'Wow What a gorgeous show - Do other people know how good this was?',b68 then discovered that .yes.yes they do.
Do you still watch it, or did you long ago burn out on it? I didn't realize how long ago you posted your righteous defense of Sikozu's character before I chimed in.

It was a transparently silly thing to do - just bad, lazy writing.
While I'm grateful there was
some
kind of finale (after the perpetually
horrible
scifi channel bailed on their commitments because they thought they would only make a profit of 15 instead of 20 [profit isn't good enough anymore now it must be LOTS of profit]), PKW was just
riddled
with plot holes//divergences and awful writing. Really - I've read better fan writing.
As for Sikozu, they did this despite showing her to be not just intelligent/species-loyal, but in the freakin' genetically modified underground resistance, ffs!
Just awful. Untenably atrocious.
