Hard pass on the eye cream. Think again. The skin under the eye is very thin and as such, whatever you apply there can get through and permeate to your bloodstream quicker and that includes some of their ingredients like fragrance and if I recall, two of their chemical preservatives. There was another one of La Mer's products that they took out of production due to red dye.

Why am I not surprised?
Their moisturizer is very good, but their oil is just perfumed oil and some of their products aren't worth the price tag. The only thing that makes them good is their proprietary "broth" which is actually very good for the skin and cannot be duplicated. But I can't imagine investing in their total skincare routine. I use HGH skincare which is my priority.

I use a lot of calamine lotion too. My skin loves it. It's soothing, healing and very kind. It's my pink zinc!

Agreed. As you may guess, I don't mind looking pale!
I use zinc oxide mineral sunscreen. I know there are chemical ones, or ones that are a combo of mineral and chemical, but my skin always retaliates in the most vehement of fashions.

Zinc is the best harmless sun screen. All the others have questionable ingredients.

I've been reading that Vaseline is good and that Nivea does pretty much the same thing, but you have to use the German formula. I just hate that everything has fragrance in it. One really good moisturizer I like is Vanicream. I think that's fragrance-free.
I do think one of the best things you can do is use sunscreen though. I think most of those high-end products rely on peoples' vanity and enjoyment of using expensive products they know no one else can afford.

A pharmacist friend once told me that you might as well just rub lard or petroleum jelly on your face because none of these fancy creams do any good at all. In fact they're so full of additives that they're probably harming your skin. He also emphasised that what you eat gets into your bloodstream and feeds all your cells including your skin, so if you want the best skin, eat the best foods, stay out of the sun and use a simple cream or oil. All of the fancy cosmetics are to make money for the manufacturer. Period.

About 9 years ago. I wasn’t impressed. It’s way overpriced. I used to use a lot of high end skin care. All I can say don’t waste your money. I use Ponds unscented creme, well it smells like botanicals, La Roche Posay face wash, sunscreen and Pixi glycolic acid facial pads.
