Forgotten by many, The Thanksgiving Treasure is a superb family drama which centers around the characters played by Hughes and the gifted child actress Lisa Lucas. Jason Robards, Jr. and Mildred Natwick are also featured in fine supporting roles.
This drama followed The House Without a Christmas Tree, a better-known holiday classic, featuring Robards, Natwick, and Lucas but without Hughes.
Both highly recommended and now available as reasonably priced DVD set.
