Always wondered why this talented actor didn't make it bigger in Hollywood, especially when I look at some of the twits who are major movie stars nowadays.

There are so many very talented, capable actors out there who just don't get that one big break, or that one rave revueWill Hutchins is certainly one of those guys/gals.The OP had it correct though..When compared to what passes as a "movie star" these days, someone like Will Hutchins stands head and shoulders above them in all ways there are to measure

Absolutely agree with you. With those good lucks and talent he should still be working.

I was a little kid when Sugarfoot was on (maybe even in reruns), but I remember it well as a show the whole family loved.
There may be a missing credit on Will's listing here, but I cannot remember the name of the series. It ran in the mid- to late-1970's, set in Hawaii. A bachelor uncle was guardian to his brother's two kids. I think the uncle owned or was managing an apartment complex or residential hotel. Possibly the father was some sort of spy, away from home a lot. I don't think it ran the full season, but I liked it. I thought Will played the uncle.

Will's still out there living in a NY suburb with his lovely wife, Babs.
Both are wonderful folks.
He still has the utmost respect for westerns and classic films and vintage music.
He's got a website, IIRC.
