.was as 'Grace Renford' in what I feel is a classic episode of THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR titled "Beyond the Sea of Death". The episode aired in January of 1964a time when Diana's beauty was at its all-time peak, and her acting skills would match up with anyone's. Co-starring with Ms. Hyland in this production were the marvelous Mildred Dunnock, and Jeremy Slate, a usually wooden, athletic type actor who nonetheless was very good in his role. There is a haunting musical score by the brilliant Bernard Hermann throughout the episode, and it is quite well-written. I, too, have quite the collection of Diana Hyland performances on VHS and DV5b4D, yet while the bulk of them preserve her legacy very admirably, BTSOD still stands out as my very favorite of her many acting projects!
