Does anyone know what it was? I've heard many different stories, including her blossoming figure being too much for a 50s family sitcom to deal with. Or did she maybe want out of the show because they didn't know how to write for a sexy teenager in those days. Anyone know the scoop?

I don't believe she hated everyone else, she just was really close to Jean and was crushed when she left. She made an appearance on Danny Thomas show Make Room for Granddaddy, so I don't think she hated him.

A new interview with her reveals her reasons. It was her choice to leave as she hated the show and everyone who she worked with, other than Jean Hagen who left after year 3.
