it says she was born 1944, and yet she played the lead role in" Some like It Hot" on broadway in 1959-and dancer in west side story in 1961- that would have made her only 15 years old, playing the role that marylin monroe played in the film- so i think this board has her age wrong maybe she was born 1934 not 1944, SURE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW

Yeah, I think that is supposed to be 1934.
I am watching a December 1980 Hart to Hart episode where she appears to be at least 50 (probably older) which would make her 85+ now.

Some Like It Hot was a 1959 movie. Sugar, based on that movie, was a musical on Broadway but it doesn't say what year that was. Judging by other information, it was several years later.

Yeah, but you know Wikipedia is not always correct since it is written
by the contributors, not experts. So the information is sometimes wrong.
I heart Elaine Joyce!! Whatever age she is!

Yep, go back and read it again. She appeared in the musical Sugar in the 70's which was based on Some Like It Hot, which was released in 1959. Some Like It Hot was a movie - it wasn't on Broadway.

I think that you read the trivia wrong. It said that Elaine Joyce was in "Sugar," the Broadway musical version of the film "Some Like It Hot". She played the role of Sugar Kane - the one Marilyn Monroe did in the film. That show was on Broadway in 1972-73 when she was 26-27. She was born in December, 1945 not 1944.

I seen some pictures of her from 2 yrs ago and she looks like she's 75. If she was born in 1944 she looks terrible for her age.
