No. I've never thought of Dern as attractive (Miranda I find very much so). And Emily Watson and July both have big blue eyes, but their similarity really ends there. others I think look/remind me of her :

I don't know. I sort of see that. She reminds me more of Emily Watson, though. (With a tablespoon of Naomi Watts and a dash of Rachel Griffiths added in)

I also mixed her up with Ann Cusackshe reminded me so much of her in "A League of Their Own."

I didn't check the cast before I watched Me and You, and at first glance I thought it was Maggie Gyllenhaal. Anyone else see the resemblence? Great film, by the way. I just learned that she wrote and directed as well.

That's so funny, I just saw the move and thought the exact same thing. I think she SOUNDS like her even more than she looks like h238er. I liked Me You and Everyone We Know but I was wondering what it would be like with Laura Dern instead of July.I think even July would admit she is not an actress.
