The movie will depress you. Its so dark and dank and shows the degrading of women living a life of hell. The acting is good but the storyline makes you feel like you need a prozac or zoloft afterward or something, it makes you grateful you dont live life like this and hopefully never will, the women are messed up and unhappy in the movie it seems just to ooze of out the television.
The strip joint is like most of them very depresssing and dark and full of hardup poor lonely slobs throwing money at women and the the women crawling around like dogs for a bone, and they protrayed them as hookers when they had them to in the "back room", really does nothing to promote women at all.
If one positive thing came from this movie is women watching it and were considering making stripping a "career choice" probably will not now, after seeing how lonely weary and worn-torn haggard these strippers were and looked like they will not be considering it, along with all the other down-falls like catching diseases in unclean unsanitary strip bars, customers stalking or following them home, drugs, men shunning them and not dating or respecting them etc very sad, my heart went out, its a risky dangerous depressing go nowhere job that can have serious consquences. I hope it made young girls who try to be seduced by sleazy strip club owners to think twice, "its your life" the manager said, no its more like "this is hell" stripping is a very bad choice to make, a terrible life and this movies showed it very well.
