I just wish they would talk about films. Today, they are 36 minutes into the show and have only covered footballers being racist or not, and footballers in the scottish league, or not, or something.
Just awful. In fact it's an affront to those who deliberately tune in hoping to hear (rare these days) the show do what it does best.
40 minutes in now.

I must admit I hate the constant interruptions for sports updates especially when it is an actual update where nothing really has occurred. I mean surely when the show is reduced couldn't they just dispense with constant updates? As a result I think most people would probably prefer to listen to the podcast later on than actually at the time live. I certainly do that at times.

Today's has been a backslapping borefest so far. Plus more dribble about how he has covered TDKR when in fact all he has done is give a eulogy to Nolan by way of a review of a mediocre film which he thinks is the second best of the trilogy.
I think this may be the end for me.

Yeah, it does seem that way. By the time the Exorcist! Films seem to be an option on the show. Plus, they do seem to get into trouble with revealing some of the plotlines of the films.
Maybe, there is too much of the local film festival events and so on as well. It is interesting yes, but sometimes distracts from the show.

It was fairly infuriating most of the time wasted wasn't even spent talking about anything just 'we expect some news soon' and asking people what the news might or not be. Then just as it looked like they were returning to the films we got the news and sport report both of which droned on about what we'd just been forced to sit through.
I'm only going to say this once: stay out of Camberwick Green - Sam Tyler

I sent them 4 texts saying "x mins and counting with no movie talk". In the last I demanded a review by 3pm or I would stop listening to th eshow, after I have heard Kermode's review of TDKR next week. I didn't get a review, but did at least get the top 10. I also got a couple of "we WILL talk movies soon" type comments from Mayo.
I know the BBC have various rules (constraints) but please, it wasn't 9/11, it was an allegedly racist footballer and some Scottish team in a spot of bother.
