He is WAY better than Jack Black, at least as far as acting is concerned. Not saying Labine is an Oldman, but he can (kind of) disguise himself and his comedy is much more subtle.

A poor mans Jack Black, only funnier, more watchable, way more entertaining and talented and not making his living from the one set of character traits.
Jack Black is annoying and unfunny, Labine is not.

jack black is mostly just movement and crazy faces. Tyler Labine is a different kind of rebellious but can say just about anything and it sounds funny.

My thought is that Jack Black IS the poor man's Jack Black. Tyler Labine is Fat Ryan Dunn and was more enjoyable in Tucker & Dale VS Evil than Black has been in anything.
