Psych is a special cast and crew!
Any new show is going feel very different.
Maggie might go and then come screaming back to Psych where she feels the greatness of this chemistry, which is rare on TV and Movie sets.
Lawson, of course, will be bound by a contract. She's a pro at acting. But the new show might not "have leggs" and so it might fail.
Then Lawson will be free to continue with Psych for however long USA Network wants to extend this great cast and crew's work.

3 months later I will have to disagree. I love her new show. I have been a James Caan fan for decades and I love Maggie Lawson. Her new show is raunchy,has disgusting humor and is sexist. I LOVE IT. I laugh more on this show than any other. Besides she looks better here than on Psych and who knew that was possible. What I would love to see is a James Caan cameo on Psych.
