When he was hired to play James Bond they gave him a contract for 7 films, but then turned down to star in six more.
If he played James Bond 7 times he would be in:
-On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969)
-Diamond's are Forever (1971)
-Live and Let Die (1973)
-The Man with the Golden Gun (1974)
-The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)
-Moonraker (1979)
-For Your Eyes Only (1981)
But This Never Happened.

Diamonds are Forever would have been better if Lazenby starred in it and would have had him getting revenge on Blofeld for Tracey's death. I understand that he was a wooden actor, but I think he did fine as Bond and yes I watched the interview that he wanted to do a few more before resigning

Probably his contract would continue to 1989 ("Licence to kill" year)
