Hi Folks / Fans
Gotta Love her, I have only seen her in bit parts (The Crow / True Romance) I gotta find more. She should definitely get more roles, the face (and hair) of some kind of beautiful Trashy Monroe with a voice that makes you want to cry.
"Put you're shooters away huh Guys" (Aaaw you just wanna hug her)
She is quickly on the rise in my Fave Actresses League (Juliette Lewis, Patricia Arquette. Spot the Poor White Trash Aesthetic at work here? Both fabulous as Mallory Knox / Alabama Whirley respectively)
Anyhoo Hope it goes well for her and letsda0 see some more of her at work in larger meatier parts!

I've always felt she was a dead ringer for Jan Sterling (Supporting Actress Oscar nomination, 1955), who was herself something of a "damaged goods Marilyn":

Uhmhow can you even think of comparing her to Monroe? Marilyn was gorgeous and while Anne isn't ugly she isn't exactly attractive either

I met her doing 'Bridget', she sat in the corner and went over the scene in her head almost creating it while between takes and was very engaging with smiles and tempermant when approached. She was great to work with.

I think the movie you're talking about is "Unforgiven," the Western that was directed by Clint Eastwood. She plays a prostitute in it, and her role definitely fits in with the "damaged goods" theme. If you haven't seen it yet, it's definitely worth your time, and I'm not usually big into Westerns.
I noticed that her filmography on this website doesn't include everything she's been in. She had a small role as Claire Danes' mother in "I Love You, I Love You Not," and she used to be on a sketch comedy show on HBO called "Hardcore TV."

well, i don't know if you can ask ME that question cause i seem to have 'weird' taste in films. i like films that are depressing or sad. therefore i love MAGNOLIA (so many do not). however SUE with anna is right behind MAGNOLIA on my list. i hope to see FIONA cause SUE and FIONA seem to belong together. sort of. i also like that she did that film also with amos kollek. later they did FAST FOOD, FAST WOMEN, BRIDGET and the newest film NOWHERE TO GO BUT UP (but that is no real 'anna-film'. i mean she is in the film but she does not play the leading roll like in the other films.). i've seen FAST FOOD, FAST WOMEN but i would not say it is a real good film though i like anna in the film. she looks good and bella (played by anna) is sort of pleasant. GOUTTES D'EAU SUR PIERRES BRULANTES is good, too. it is different from other films. it only takes place in one apartment and you rather get the impression you watch a theatre play and not a film. anna plays a woman who has been a man before. it has some funny parts (like e.g. when the 4 characters which is the whole cast dance in the living room to a german 70s song. i am german and i know that song. so it is funny for me cause it is an odd song and seeing anna dance to it is nice.). but apart from that it is sad, too. it fits anna. being sad and depressed and lonely and down. that is her (at least for me). a fragile 'barbie' (<- not meant negatively) but with depth. i really hope to see FIONA and BRIDGET some day. especially FIONA. i so often watched the intro on the french site and searched for articles on the internet.

hey there.
i think i do not even want to see her in so many roles. i mean she stays interesting being that sort of mystic woman only doing independent or foreign films. i don't want her to become 'mainstream' as well as i like it that people do not know her. i only wish to get the opportunity to get to see more of her films which is really hard and will probably keep me busy till i die
