She was great in Lolita, so why is her filmography filled with such obscure movies? I can easily picture her in several other starring/co-starring roles in several other movies from the '60s and '70s, like:

Repulsion (1965) as the lead character

Night of the Living Dead (1968) as Barbara

The Last Picture Show (1971) as Jacy

The Sugarland Express (1974) as Goldie Hawn's character
Hell, she even could've been one of the school girls/models on the train in A Hard Day's Night (1964) or one of the bank tellers in Dog Day Afternoon (1975). Almost all of these roles seemed to be in her wheelhouse and Lolita seemed to be a good launching pad, so what happened?

In her words (
) her life was "destroyed" by the film (Lolita).
Okay, and pigs can fly
Sometimes ya gotta wonder.
