She was beautiful! I'm curious, after 5 babies her body remained breathtaking! Back then plastic surgery wasn't what it is today (and today it's borderline!) so was it only genetics?

This entire thread is insulting, to JM, MM and women in general. These ladies looks were beyond the average everyday pretty girl and yet they weren't "perfect"? Gtfo
who is perfect really?

Even white dudes share the same taste as black guys, they like a piece of fine round ass

No man wants a woman with a flat ass but a white dude..her junk in the trunk would be popular today, like it was back then..

Her legs were thin, the famous breasts were mostly ribcage.
I have to disagree with you Denis.Jayne's breasts were really big.Just look at these nude photos of her:
http://vk.com/album-20284757_117964013
those breasts could hardly be called small

Her legs were thin, the famous breasts were mostly ribcage. She certainly didn't have a BAD body, but not at all perfect. And the manner in which she presented herselfthe sucked in gut and tiny little stepsdidn't flatter her. But Jayne was loads of fun. FOX treated her badly. As soon as Monroe was back in the fold, they essentially deserted Jayne, shipping her off to do those crappy films in Europe. (Little did the studio realize that Marilyn wasn't going to be a bonanza for them after "Bus Stop.")
By the way, MM's body was not ideal eitherway too much junk in the trunk, and always a belly, even when she was slender. (I thought the tummy was sexy, but it was considered vulgar and sloppy in her day. If she was a star today, the magazines would have her pregnant constantly, showing her "baby bump" which was just the way MM's body wasand she simply refused to wear a girdle.)

I disagree Denis. Her proportions were spectacular. Her measurements at the height of her career were 40-17-36. That's incredible! Her tone is where she struggled. Despite being married to Mr. Universe, she hardly worked out and struggled with cellulite on her upper thighs. She relied on very strong diet pills aka pure speed to keep her belly flat. She ultimately became addicted. She had a fast metabolism and could lose and gain weight very quickly.

Some women are lucky and their stomachs go flat after birth, Liz Taylor had 3 ceaseareans but still had a relatively flat tummy until she got plump in the mid 60's. I had 3 ceasereans and my stomach was good within weeks with out dieting or exercise, just luck or genes!!

Proportion-wise, Jayne's body was not that great, but she did keep a pretty good tone for a woman who was almost always pregnant or recovering from a pregnancy in her short life. And if she'd lived, she probably would have had more children! Amazing.
