<p dir="auto">It has been announced that Miriam Margolyes will play The Duchess in a revival of the classic musical Me and My Girl at the Sheffield Crucible from 2 Dec 2010 (press night 9 Dec) until 29 Jan 2011.<br />
The leading the roles in the Christmas production will be played Jemima Rooper (currently appearing in the West End in All My Sons) and Daniel Crossley.<br />
If successful the show could transfer to the West End sometime next year.<br />
Miriam's previous theatre credits Madame Morrible in both the London and Broadway productions of Wicked, Miss Prism in The Importance of Being Earnest (LA and BAM, New York), Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit (Melbourne Theatre Co), Lady Wishfort in The Way of the World (Sydney Theatre Co), The Vagina Monologues, Nurse in Romeo and Juliet (LA), She Stoops to Conquer, Orpheus Descening and The Killing of Sister George (West End) and her own show, Dickens' Women, has played all over the world.<br />
Most recently she played Nell in the Theatre du Complicite's West End production of Beckett's Endgame, for which she won her second <a href="http://WhatsOnStage.com" rel="nofollow ugc">WhatsOnStage.com</a> award.</p>
