I think that person referred to the mother ONLY because if you assume they have the same FATHER, they'd have the same SURNAME, which they do notso using that process of elimation, you'd have to assume that they could only be related through the mother.
I know not ALL children take their fathers' last name (my friend has a half brother, they have the same father, but they have different last names. His half-brother kept his mothers last name), but i was just saying that the poster probably assumed they weren't related by fathers because their names aren't the same. that is a possiblity.

If someone has a half-sibling it means that they share one of the same p2000arents and one that is unique. In short, even if she had a white mom, it's possible for him to be her half-brother because he'd have a different mother than her. Same dad, different mom would make them half-siblings.
Now I don't know anything about either of their situation regarding their parents but wanted to correct you while you're calling someone an idiot when you're obvsiously not understanding the whole concept of having a half-sibling.
