This guy has been absolutely fabulous. His turn in DELIVERANCE still gives me the willies, and nothing is more mind-bendingly funny than his scene in THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTFOOT. Good to see he's still working. I hope his DELIVERANCE character shows up as one of the 100 great movie villains in the AFI tribute Tues,(June 3).
Had the privilege of interviewing McKinney for a 1980 book BAD AT THE BIJOU recently reissued in paperback by publisher, available at www.mcfarlandpub.com. He had a delightful sense of humor!
