Because of the dearth of top-notch Merman films, it's a shame we don't have recorded versions of her in Gypsy or Annie Get Your Gun. Or were performances taped but just aren't available to the general public?
She did do
Annie Get Your Gun
on television in the mid-1960s. I wonder whether a videotape still exists?
Maybe we're not supposed to sleep so well"

She's a hoot in "We're Not Dressing". She absolutely steals "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" from all the big name comics.
You can lead a horse to water, but a pencil must be lead.

Really good movies with Ethel are "Its a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World" and "There's No Business Like Show Business".You should try to see them. She sings in TNBLSB but not in IMMMMW
"Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"
"Germans?"
"Forget it, he's rolling.&5b4quot;
