i thought Hannibal was more of an asexual or sapiosexual than anything else.
his killings were intellectual. he enjoyed his duper's delight. i never saw any tension in his character related to sex.
but then, a strange kind of love is the only explanation as to why Hannibal kept Will alive and so close for so long. As well as being so deluded about his potential.
