This guy is one good role away from easily winning an Oscar. Now is anyone willing to give him that chance. I would and it's gotta be a holocaust drama where he plays a nazi who redeems himselfno brainer yo!

I completely agree, and I see Mads Mikkelsen as the nr. 1 actor from Scandinavia. He's an absolute beast in the sets, everytime! Great actor.

I agree he is great. He was good on Hannibal. I am glad Doctor Strange and Star Wars are letting more people learn who he is.

He got something better than an Oscar for that amazing role.

He should've gotten an oscar for his part in Jagtenmy god that was an intense role and he did it very believable.

Well Roberto Begnini won for best actor for Life is Beautiful. But they don't typically award that to foreign language films. IMO, he is really limited in English speaking films. Most of the English stuff he's done is garbage, apart from Wilbur wants to Kill Himself and Hannibal. I don't speak Danish, but he appears to have a far greater range in his foreign tongue. Here is a list of best actors who were not Americans. Most of them are either from an English speaking country or fluent.

The Hunt was an amazing film and outstanding performance from Mikkelson. I think he won the Best Actor award at Cannes.

Well said, The Hunt was a masterpiece and Mikkelson made the role so believable, he deserves to be showered in Golden Globes and Oscars. Even if people don't think he's earned one of those, he was magnificent as Hannibal Lector, he should have at least gotten an Emmy nod

If "The Hunt" had been an English language film he surely would have won! Such a great film and amazing performance.
