<p dir="auto">She looked a lot like Kim Novak!  I always thought Vera Miles was beautiful, (as was, before all the plastic surgery, Kim Novak), but Miles reminded me of her the first time I saw this particular Columbo episode, which aired about a year ago, and actually airs right now.<br />
She was quite a beautiful woman. Beautiful bone structure!!</p>

<p dir="auto">Yes, she was a beautiful woman AND an excellent actress.<br />
She was way over made-up in the Columbo episode, with big hair in an unnatural shade of wig.  Check her in some other roles you will find on Youtube where she was a very natural, subtle beauty even well into middle age.<br />
IMO, she was one of the rare women who got better looking as she aged.  Part of it was that the very stylized, every-hair-in-place look of the 50's gave way to a more natural look that accentuated her features.</p>
