Considering her Gene pool, she is fortunate to still be here at 65.
Her mother was beyond compare. It's a shame what MGM did to her, and they didn't much care. Mickey Rooney can attest to this.

IN addition to having Sun in Pisces, she also has three planets in Cancer. This involves intense feeling and sensitivity and a great challenge in learning how to detach. A plus and a weakness for her. Her emotional intensity in live performance is quite the plus, but I suspect the substances were used to buffer her from negativity.
I bet she's psychic as hell. I love her acting and singing. I've seen her live over twenty times and not only did she deliver, she went way above the expecta2000tions of even this huge fan.

Liza is a Pisces, born in March.
They appear to be fragile, helpless, and weak sometimes.
but don't underestimate them: Inside is a backbone of Steel.
(Elizabeth Taylor was such a Pisces, too.)
I love Liza and I bet it has taken a toll on her, knowing how her
beloved mother got beaten down by the System and drugs and drink.

Yes, it's shame what MGM did to Judy, but did Judy try to mitigate the damage?
However, genes don't affect everything, or pass on drug-abuse from parent to child. That is an environmental or personal issue
