I must say, Kate looks more butch as Jake on Young Americans than as Shane on The L Word because she has that Rider Strong thing going on. I remember when I was 9 years old when Young Americans came out about 13 years ago and when I saw Kate (for the first time, of course), I thought that was Rider Strong and that he was handsome and cuter than ever. But I then realize after the first two episodes that it wasn't Rider, but Kate.
