Regis is a very positive minded guy. I don't understand the comparison.
As for Piers, I'd have liked to see his show continue the 'live' tv interviews that Larry King pioneered to great success in nightly prime time.
Also, I've noticed that on both cable and direct tv services, that they don't list who's being interviewed that night in the show's channel selection menu. So, viewers are urged to tune in indiscriminate of their interest? It's weird.
That said, yeah, I think he's a very handsome, well presented fella. That's part of why he's so successful on the tv.
