I just saw her on You, Me and the Apocalypse.
She was in a throwaway role as a 'scientist' at some place that was doing human trials for some drug that was supposed to let you live without sunlight for a couple years.
My thought was: What a terrible idea for a drug. Do they not have full spectrum lighting in this version of the universe?
She was wasted (I can only hope the part had more depth in the script and she was cut out vs. she accepted this nothing role for a paycheck).
I loved, loved, LOVED her in Torchwood.
She was virtually the only sort-of sympathetic character on that otherwise worthless show. (Ianto being the other one, but we know how that turned out.)
No matter what stupidity the writers (I'm looking at you Russell T. Davies, you tosser) did to her, her humanity showed through.
I know it is tough getting good roles, especially as a woman of a certain age, and especially since folks like Emma Stone (love her if not her film choices) are getting roles Ms. Mori could play.
Hollywood White-Washing at its worse.
I don't see anthing else in here with her name on it. I hope she'll be gracing our movie/tv screens again soon.
What was that, you said what?
