The character of Jim Morrison was a complete departure for Elvis because he was screwed over by the gov. And military.
He wrote songs about being Vietnam and knowing they wanted him dead.
So did his twin brother who played John Fogerty.

Elvis is documented as having had a twin who supposedly died at birth. He didn't die they were both kid actors.
John F is also Gregg Allman.
