I just watched the DVD of "With a Song in My Heart" (1952). Robert Wagner has a small, but credited role as a wounded WWII soldier. Toward the end of the film another GI, seated in a wheelchair, gives Jane Froman (S. Hayward) a cake with candles. He has a few lines but probably not enough to earn him a screen credit. I'd swear it is Robert Morse. Morse would have been about 20 when WASIMH was shot, so it seems very plausible. Anyone know for sure?
