I don't know about you guys, but for my generation, those of us who first saw him in Terminator 2, he may forever be Miles Dyson to us.
Whether on House, or Eureka, or in other movies, he's always that guy from T2.
It's unfortunate for some actors to be indentified in one role, but I think it says more to the talent they have in making that role impressionable. For others, growing up in other times, he may always be that guy from a different series and role.
Long live first impressions!
Dyson's death is one of the saddest things I've ever seen in a movie.
How did he die…or dy?

Dyson's death is one of the saddest things I've ever seen in a movie.
I've been real into movie reactions lately. You can watch someone's reaction to a whole movie or a clip of different people reacting to the same scene. The Dyson death reactions is just a reminder of how devastating that whole party of the movie is.

I'm a bit disappointed that he didn't reprise his role in Genisys. Until the credits rolled, I never realized Courtney B. Vance was playing Dyson in the movie. Had the filmmakers hired Morton, I would have recognized who he was right away.

I wonder why not Joe Norton should reprise his role as Mile Dyson in Terminator Genisys? He survived because of cyberdyne system did not destroy in 1994 (plot of Terminator 2: Judgement Day) when Kyle and Sarah jumped to 2017 in time travel in Terminator Genisys. Also Devaughn Nixon (little Danny in T2) should play adult Danny Dyson (Mile's son) in Terminator Genisys as he is already young adult. All actors and actresses are different except only one is Arnold Schwarzenegger.

For me, he'll always be Henry Deacon. It's odd. I remember Miles Dyson just fine. I first watched the movie 20 years ago, when I was young. And I only just discovered Henry was Miles today despite being able to picture Miles if somebody mentioned him. So he
should
be Miles for me, but he's stuck being Henry. There are worse legacies. Like, say, being best remembered for "Blues Brothers 2000". Another role of his which I just discovered today as well. Granted, I've only seen it once, so that's forgivable.

Yeah, perhaps a little more fortunate distinction title than one of those guys that are in everything (like James Cromwell). Although I've watched him hundreds of times as Miles Dyson in Terminator 2 (my favourite film) I think I like him best on Smallville, he brought an impressive level of energy and eccentricity to the role of Dr. Hamilton. Also great in Of Mice & Men. Terrific actor.
