Actually, Joe played a character pretty close to Obama on an episode of House MD called "Role Model"- a black senator campaigning to become the first black president.
Of course, Joe's character was suffering from a severely debilitating disease and had to give up his presidential run as a result.

Yeah, good idea except for the age issue. I didn't check, but he's easily 15 years or more older. And I don't think they could hide it.
The height thing they could get around though.

I love Joe Morton. He's a great actor, but he doesn't resemble Obama. He's older, different skin complexion, and very different features. Also, Obama is 6' 3" and Joe is 5'9". And let's be clear I think they're both handsome, Joe being the more handsome of the two.
