So true! All of the famous supermodels now are just Victoria's Secret models. And Victoria's Secret isn't even high fashion. I'm guessing its cuz they run around half naked.

Because models aren't celebrities anymore like they were in the 90's. Models became celebrities in the early to mid-90's from things like George Michael's "Freedom" video and MTV's House of Style and Robert Altman's movie Prt--Porter. That's when the term "supermodel" began to be used. In the late 90's the supermodel craze began to die out, actresses began to replace models on the cover of fashion magazines. Models became anonymous models again and the supermodel sort of faded away, except for someone like Giselle who ran in that supermodel tradition.
