this is why people think she's cool, because the media does a good job manipulating people who read about her life of glamor and surrounding by trendy friends and travelling after a huge hangover..the media portrays her lifestyle as cool
most people live normal regular lives where they can't wake up hungover and then fly to thailand, but in reading this ..it looks cool to be a super model that's rich and famous and yeah so what she's into drugs and partying wild.
Now if you see the flip side of being poor, addicted to drugs or booze and hungover those lot who you see strung out on the street corners ..that is not cool. It's sad.

She is 'cool' because that is how she is marketed.
I'm amazed at this ongoing debate.

I thought she was unbelievably cool when she first came on the scene, and throughout the 90's, but her relationship with Pete Doherty really lowered her in my eyes. She went from being "the coolest girl ever" to being a sloppy mess. It wouldn't have been so bad if she hadn't had a kid, but having the kid just made it sad and totally uncool.
I think the reason she was so cool in the 90's is cause she had a unique, fresh look, combined with a confidence and edginess that just made her stand out. She had crooked teeth, had freckles, was short (for a model) and was unusually skinny, but she was always really confident about herself and her place in the modeling world. She never appeared to doubt herself. She always chose really good ad campaigns, like the ones for Calvin Klein which were really haunting but sexy. She was just always really smart about her career, which also added to her cool factor.

she minds her business, does her job, doesn't seek the spotlight. i don't think she wanted to be caught doing coke - it was intrusive pigs who do not mind their manners who broke that story.

People think she's cool because she's like the ultimate female rock starexcept she doesn't make music. And her clothes and dress sense do make her cool in the eyes of the public. She's an icon for her fashion, ads, excess and partying. For some reason when Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears are trainwrecks, they are just trainwrecks, yet Kate Moss's wild party girl reputation is part of her appeal for some reason. Why? Why do people think rock stars are cool? She's basically a female rock star without the music. People see rock stars as the coolest people on earth.

I don't believe her unhealthy decisions are what makes her image appear "cool". Sure, some people think smoking is sexy, but ultimately I think it's the fact that she understands she's not going to live forever, and the only thing she can do is have fun while she still has time. In the end, we will all be dead regardless to how healthy we try to be, so why not have a happy life doing what you enjoy most whether that is being super skinny or addicted to drugs. The fact that she's not afraid to do dangerous & crazy things makes us admire her and wish we could be more like her, more carefree. Plus, she has a wonderful sense of style and such a unique face!

Yeah. They like her because she's a model. But lots of people don't because she's a coke head. If I was a coke head my friends would see me a different way.

Has it ever occured to you that maybe there is more to a person than whether they do - or have done - drugs or not? Lots of people find her cool which is why she tops coolest celebrity lists and I doubt they're all druggies that vote for her.
